Bullets Before Blossoms

Bloom reared when she reached the Southern Territory. She whickered and came down with a loud thud. "I've got land, now I need a mate."

Rocket saw a lone mare in the distance. Squinting his eyes, he took off in her direction. Rearing, revealing his long black mane, and came down with a thud. He whinnied and trotted over to her, cautiously and subductivly. It looked like he would have to enter her territory.

Bloom snorted softly, then smiled. She nickered and stepped forward, closer to him. She bowed and said, "Hello, I'm Bullets Before Blossoms. And you are?" A warm smile spread across her face.

"Who? Me? Oh!" He felt stupid for a second, but he quickly ignored that. "I'm Rocket of Time, but you can just call me Rocket." He looked around the beautiful senery and smiled, "So this is your territory?" He asked in surprise. It wasn't really commen for a mare to have a territory, so surely she was a stallion's mare already...?

"Nice to meet you, and yes, this is. But I have no mate." She looked down, embarassed.

He wanted to respond, 'Oh?', but then he thought better of it. He didn'r want to sound curious, so he just went with a regular, "Oh..." And felt pity wash over him. "So you're...alone? You don't have a herd? I'd be willing to become a herd if you are," he added sheepishly.

Bloom lifted her head and her face lit up. "Really?" She asked, then added, "I would love to!"

Rocket smiled along with Bloom. "That would be great!" He looked around "So, first would you like to look around for more horses to join?"

Bloom nodded and pranced in place, laughing.

Rocket laughed, "So that means yes, I assume!"

((Oh, okay! Good! ))

"Of course it does!" Bloom laughed and started walking. "Coming?"

"What?" Rocket asked quickly. "Oh - yes, I'm coming!" He galloped after Bloom and smiled. "So, where do you come from?" He asked curiously.

"I-I don't really know." She said quietly, then looked at him, "What about you?"

"Me? I am wild as an eagle! Born free to stay free. I don't remember my parents, and as I foal I had a...rough foalhood." He looked down sheepishly.

"Don't worry, we've all had our good and bad times." She nudged his head up and sighed softly. She smiled at him and walked at a slightly faster pace. "Um, where are we going?"

"I...don't know," Rocket admitted almost to himself. "Hmmm," he thought for a moment. "Well, maybe if we go...east we can see if they're other horses. That's where I came from, anyway."

"Perfect," She laughed and walked East. A bunny hopped out from a bush and she watched it, her head cocked. She rolled her eyes playfully and nudged Rocket.

[[Should I rp another stallion and have him almost kill Rocket?]]

Rocket smiled and nudged Bloom back. "How'd you like that?" He teased. He sneezed suddenly, not recognizing anything else until he finally spotted the rabbit, hopping away.

Bloom laughed and nudged him back. "Are you allergic?" She asked, and stopped laughing.

{Sure}

"Me? Nah," Rocket shrugged. "Sometimes if I smell something foreign, I sneeze. It was probably that rabbit, over there." And he was wrong. It wasn't the rabbit, but another stallion, waiting near a tree, waiting for his chance...when they both weren't looking...

Namilock waited for his chance to strike, his muscles rippling under his dark red coat. He would take the territory from the stallion and take the mare for his own. Then, he would run the other stallion out, and let his herd be well known.

"Oh, ok." Bloom smiled and stopped, looking towards the tree. "Rocket, the tree." Her breathing was shallow, and she was shaking.
